Bowling starts August 14
August 2011 Update Info
Dear Athletes, Families, Service Providers
Washington Center Volunteer Clean Up: Athletes who utilize the Washington Center during the Winter will be given an opportunity to “pay with sweat” on Thursday Nights August through September 5pm to 6pm. If lots of people show up then the time would be cut down considerably. However, showing up on time will be how athletes earn this “pay with sweat” opportunity. There are 8 opportunities left, athletes that participate in the winter sports (basketball, floor hockey) should make it to 6 out of the remaining 8 events.
Bowling: starts at the Incline Station Sunday, August 14th, Two Sessions will be offered 10:30am and 1:00pm. Cost is $6.00 per time. There will be two meets held in the Duluth Area October 15th SOMN Area 3 Bowling Meet and October 29th .SOMN Regional Bowling Meet. Criteria to attend the SOMN Area 3 bowling meet includes: attending practices, showing being ready to start on time, and follow through at practices. All athletes wanting to participate must sign up on the SOMN hotline by August 10th. 260-9529.
Poly Hockey: This will start in October 2011 at the Washington Center. Athletes should sign up on thehotline no later than September 31, 2011. Cost to participate at the Washington Center will be $3.00 per practice at the Washington Center for those who do not participate in the Washington Center Cleanup.
Basketball: This will start in November 2011 at the Washington Center. Athletes should sign up on thehotline no later than October 31, 2011.

Fundraising Event to start in September 2011: There will be a fundraising project set up for this fall. Athletes are encouraged to participate in the fundraising event to assist with keeping the program going as well as setting your personal fee payment to attend State Games.
